A Finalist Recipe

We have a finalist in the family that will be a part of the 44th Annual Pilsbury Bake-Off® Contest and I’m so happy for her!!  Unfortunately she’s not in my gene pool, because then maybe I would be a better cook and have motivation.  Darn!!  Hey but at least my boys may have a chance.  :)

Katie, my husbands cousin, is one of the 100 finalist that will compete for 1 million dollars in Orlando, Florida in April of 2010.  Her recipe Pesto-Quinoa-Spinach Quiche is her entry.  Katie’s recipe will be judged on taste, appearance, creativity, & how the recipe will appeal to families across America.

Just by being a finalist Katie won a trip to Orlando, Florida in April 2010 to compete in the competition.  The trip includes round trip airfare, hotel, and day of event meals.  Plus she received a GE countertop microwave oven, and $100.  Add that all up and she already won $1,300 in cash & prizes.  Wow!!  That is awesome!!  To see all the other things she could possibly win other than the 1 million dollar grand prize & new GE appliances then visit Pilsbury.com.

If you visit Katie’s Pesto-Quinoa-Spinach Quiche recipe on Pilsbury.com, please don’t forget to rate her recipe and possibly try it out in your own kitchen!!

Katie I wish you all the luck and don’t forget to take pictures for yourself and some I can share with my readers after the competition.  I wish you the best of luck cousin-in-law!!

Well this definitely puts my power cooking post to shame, but next time I’ll have to invite Katie to join us and maybe I’ll learn a thing or two.  One can only hope!

Do you have any recipes that your family would give you an award for?  If so please share!!  I can use all the help I can get!  :)

As much as I would like to say I have something for you, but I am not much of a cook. I try to get out of cooking as often as possible.
